Driven by a VFD controller, it reaches up to 90% efficiency — 20–30% higher than star-rated pump sets — starts smoothly even on low-voltage or solar supply, and is easily rewindable and repairable. SS/CI robust construction, NEMA standards, virtually no maintenance. 1 to 20 HP at 3300–4500 rpm.
Overview
The MPM4/6 Smart DC is a permanent-magnet (PMSM) water-filled submersible motor built for the solar era. Instead of a fixed-speed induction design, it runs from a VFD controller that drives the permanent-magnet rotor at high efficiency — up to 90%, and 20–30% higher than equivalent star-rated pump sets — so the same panel or supply pumps more water. Because it starts smoothly under VFD control, it performs well in low-voltage and remote areas and on direct solar (PV) input. The motor is water-filled with an anti-corrosive fill, built from premium SS/CI material to NEMA standards, and is easy to rewind and repair in the field. This 60 Hz version is rated for 110–450 V, 60 Hz supply at 3300–4500 rpm — available in 4-inch (1–10 HP) and 6-inch (15 & 20 HP) frames.
